The belt dryer installed in 2015 by SWISS COMBI for Tschopp Holzindustrie AG was designed from the outset so that its capacity could later be doubled by extending the unit – without the need to replace the drive and conveying components. Almost ten years later, SWISS COMBI has now carried out precisely this expansion.
SWISS COMBI belt dryer delivers double the performance…
… and with minimal effort, as reported by Timber Online in June 2024.
For the extension of the SWISS COMBI belt dryer, the dryer was separated, the discharge module repositioned, an intermediate section inserted and a 96.7-metre belt installed. As a result, the drying area was increased from 153 to 255 m² and the evaporation capacity was raised from 4.4 to 11.8 t/h.
